Means to achieve the objective

The pilgrimage aims to attain the objective through purity of body, mind, food, words and actions. These five purities are known as a 'Puncha Sudhwi'. Puncha means Five and Sudhwi means purity. The food we consume influences our body and mind. Invariably, our words do not match with the actions. The means should justify the ends. For this, there must be purity in words and actions. Many problems arise in the society because of the lack of purity in words and deeds. Sree Narayana Gurudev, great saint, philosopher and social reformer, says that one shall not create any pain even to an ant. The great saint and philosopher, Jagadguru Adi Sankaracharya, in his great work, Mathrupanchakam, depicts the pain and sacrifice of the 'Mother' in bringing out the child to this beautiful world. Unfortunately we ignore the teachings of our great leaders, saints and philosophers. It is our bounden duty to see that the younger generation is properly cared and shared by the great teachings of our reformist leaders. So spreading of messages of these great teachers in the need of the hour. The focal point of Nellikkuzhi Pilgrimage is the dissemination of the messages of social reformers which will go a long way in solving many a problems faced by the society.
